“What is art? Art grows out of grief and joy, but mainly grief. It is born of people’s lives.” Edvard Munch said. According to my personal experience and actual observations of life have led me believe that art is born of people’s lives and so did the drawing.
Drawing is a kind of language that can illustrate something to the people about what the painter feels. And in order to make the viewer engage into the painting with their emotion or feeling that the painter is having the communication with them the painting will mostly have the connection with the real life. For me, drawing has the great influence of my life, because in my childhood I love to draw down the things that I love. For example, I love my family, then I draw down the picture of them, I love to ride a bike, and I draw my bike…etc. However, in that period I didn’t draw the picture with my personal feeling, I just record the object that I see. As I grow, I find out that it is difficult to touch people’s heart with the painting without my feeling, because there is no communication or connection with them. For instance, there is a lot of master piece seems nothing, but when you watch it carefully you will find out the painting is full of the painter’s emotion, and the people who look at it can easily find the connection between themself and the painter. Therefore, I try to draw something that is really touching me. And I discover that despite i have the bad hand drawing the painting is still can touch me, because I’m deeply connect with it. Since that trying, drawing becomes the way I express my emotions.
